Sections 6-9

I think that these sections were the worst in the book. It was really sad learning how elie's dad was dying. When the S.S. officer beat him was the worst part. The train was terrible, 100 people got on and only 12 got off. Almost 90% of the people on the train died. They were so close to being set free.

I can't beleive that the S.S officer beat ellies father. He was ovisely very sick. also i theink it was just as cruel when his fellow prisoneers beat him and stole his bread.

I also think that these sections were the worst to read. I don't know how anyone could beat someone who was obviously sick and dying. It is horrible that so many people died on the train.

I also agree with you on this part being the worst part. That stat about the train is crazy. I cant believe his dad didnt make it. It saddens me.

I agree that these sections were the worst. The fact that 88% of the people on the train died is horrible. Of course, something worse is that some of them killed each other!

I completely agree with you Kyle, this section is sad and depressing. Also, I think your right on Elie's dad getting hit in the head is the worse part of it.

I agree that the worst section in the book was when Elie's dad got beat by a S.s officer. This just shows that they don't care about the people or what they do to them. I didn't relise that over 90% of the people in the train died. That is just terrible.

That was a very depressing part of the book. it was really sad that i wish that we didnt have to read that book. his father survived so much. he was so close.
